Hi there! I started my psychology career in a forensic environment focusing on suicide and recidivism risk assessments, and I have since gained well-rounded experience in clinical private practice, rural and remote work, and organisational settings. For over five years, I worked FIFO/DIDO in rural and remote communities in Cape York and the FNQ Tablelands for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. I most recently held the title of Clinical Lead while also working in private practice, serving clients funded through Medicare, PHFs, NDIS, WorkCover, and DVA.
I have completed several internships and business development projects in organisational settings, including for VOICE [Sarina Russo], Caterpillar, and GUPSA. I have also produced a capability framework for the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
I am a Board-approved Supervisor (PsyBA) with a passion for perinatal mental health for mums, dads, and other parent figures, rural and remote health, new Australians, and those with language and cultural differences.
I believe knowledge is power and keep that principle at the forefront of my therapeutic style. I practice with a client-centred approach, working with clients to help them identify not only what they want from sessions but also how to achieve their goals and continue to prosper after therapy concludes. I am well-versed in the challenges of working in regional, rural, and remote communities, having grown up in and worked much of my career in such environments.
